Abstract

In 21st century, Environmental concerns such as Global warming and air pollution are the main issues in the world. High demand of energy at residential sector is one of the big contributor in this environmental issue. So, this energy consumption demand should be minimized. This can be possible by installing advanced HVAC system, finding preferences of occupants and by calculating the Breakdown of energy consumption at residential sector. To find out total breakdown of energy consumption at residential sector is highly depend on occupant’s preference and characteristics. This research is carried out to find out the perceived energy consumption breakdown at household. So, Advanced HVAC system can install at household. This research is mainly focus on to find out Preferences of energy end users and Energy consumption at residential sector in India. A bottom up research methodology will use to find out occupant’s preferences on energy consumption and energy saving at their household. Online survey will contain some basic questions that will be done by E-mail. The online website Survey CTO will explain about survey and questionnaire related to end user’s preferences and Energy consumption at household. Feedback form from the occupants will be collected through online website. Those feedback data and information will be evaluated by statistical method. Excel Programme or SPSS software will use for the analysis of collected data. Results will be displayed in the form of chart. Conclusion and recommendations list will be prepared to reduce the energy consumption at residential sector.
