Abstract

The purpose of this project was to compose and validate a complete Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) system ready for entry into the 2009 UAV Outback Challenge.
The Search and Rescue UAV Outback Challenge is an open UAV competition for small UAV enthusiasts. This project requires the implementation of major subsystems including airframe mechanics, airframe aerodynamics and manual /autonomous flight control systems. The main focus will be on these and the operation of the complete system as a UAV and compliance with the competition and general regulations
