Abstract
[Abstract]: The United Arab Emirates is a popular location for both expatriates and tourists from all countries of the world. All people visiting or moving to a new country experience the excitement of the new challenges that await them. One such challenge may come in the form of different road rules and driver behaviour if they are to travel by road. This dissertation outlines what driving problems a newly arrived expatriate or tourist to the United Arab Emirates may encounter. Information found from research clearly shows that the UAE is an intimidating place to drive for any newcomer. With the right mitigation measures in place the risk of accident for new expatriates and tourists can be reduced and the road in the UAE can be made a safer place to drive.
