Abstract
This project aims to use Thermal Plasma Conversion to recover energy from paunch contents thus benefitting the environment and being a source of recycled energy. For this project, high-thermal or low-temperature electrical arc plasma will be used to produce lighter hydrocarbon gases from reactive elements in waste fats components (e.g. carbon arc electrodes, carbon fat backbone chains, hydrocarbon and hydroxyl fat molecular components and other chemical constituents). This is a means of converting into clean high value bio-energy while cleaning-up a current environmental waste problem associated with paunch material from the meat processing industry.
