Research Review Underpinning Conceptualisation of an Index of Refugee Loss:

Vromans, Lynette (2015) Research Review Underpinning Conceptualisation of an Index of Refugee Loss:. Coursework Masters thesis, University of Southern Queensland. (Unpublished)

Abstract

This literature review aimed to review relevant research and theoretical literature to underpin an argument for the development of a measure of multidimensional loss, which is both theoretically-derived and contextually and culturally relevant to people from refugee backgrounds. Based on the literature reviewed, it was concluded that a measure to assess refugee loss is required, and in the development of the measure, multiple domains of loss (social, material, intra-personal and cultural) need consideration to adequately assess the construct of refugee loss.
